From Matakana, north of Auckland, Sawmill have been crafting exceptional beer for two decades! Sawmill is the only B-Corp Brewery in New Zealand. They're independent and have an ethos of resourcefulness and creativity in how the brewery is run.

For 20 years Sawmill have been brewing using quality ingredients, to create the freshest, tastiest beer while doing their best to protect and preserve shared resources – land, sea, soil and water. 

Founded in 2004, Sawmill Brewery began with a simple mission: to create high-quality, locally brewed beer. From their flagship beers to seasonal and limited editions, they've become a staple in the New Zealand craft beer scene, known for their innovative flavours and dedication to quality.

In 2019, Sawmill took a significant step by becoming certified B Corporation – and is New Zealand’s only brewery to achieve this. B Corp is awarded to companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

This includes using renewable energy sources, minimising waste & sourcing ingredients locally to reduce their carbon footprint.
