Emerson's Mein Helles Bock is a strong pale lager that showcases clean, elegant, bready malt flavors, making it deceptively easy to drink. The Helles Bock style, also known as Maibock, is a relatively pale, strong, malty German lager with a nicely attenuated finish that enhances drinkability. It often features a more noticeable hop character compared to other bocks.

Taieri George is named after the most important Emerson of all - Richard's Dad. Not only was he a founding member of the Taieri Gorge Railway, he was also the brewery's original Chief taster. He particularly enjoyed this drop, brewed with cinnamon, nutmeg and Otago clover honey. In his memory, Emerson's release this brew on his birthday. Here's to you, George.

This full flavoured lager was launched in 2008 and named 'Best Low Carbohydrate Beer in New Zealand' in 2009 and 2010 at the NZ Beer Awards. It also became the first New Zealand low carb beer to win a Gold medal at the prestigious Monde Selection awards in Belgium in 2010, winning Gold again in 2011.
