Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz is a sub-regional expression that is unmistakably Penfolds in character. Conceived from the ancient soils around the township of Marananga, located very close to the centre of the Barossa Valley. The warm dry conditions, rich red clay and sandy loam soils provide the backbone to some of the Barossa Valley's best-known wines. Bin 150 is a contemporary shiraz alternative, a sub-regional offer framed by a mix of oaks; French and American, old and new, small and large - crafted the 'Penfolds way'. As we have come to anticipate, satsuma plums and boysenberries provide a varietal/regional signature. Grippy, ripe and rich tannins anchor a tightly structured frame. Freshly sawn oak. Bin 23 derives its name from Cellar 23 at Magill Estate, where Pinot Noir barriques are often stored during maturation. Reflecting an evolving style, regional definition, and complexities of the many and varied Pinot Noir clones, Bin 23 Pinot Noir is an elegant, lighter-bodied inclusion in the Penfolds Collection. The 2024 vintage reveals vibrant raspberry fruits, savoury charcuterie nuances and bright acidity, framed by fine texture and cool-climate precision. Sourced from Tasmania, where ideal conditions yield grapes of purity and distinction. A savoury, cured meat quality enhances the wine's structure, providing a textural mouthfeel, while a tannic core of graphite provides further backbone. The fruit profile is both refined and elegant, showcasing an array of dark berries, fresh plums, and stone fruits. The wine's youthfulness is highlighted by bright white raspberry and tart cranberry. The acidity is crisp and lively.

Bin 28 offers a showcase of warm climate Australian Shiraz - ripe, robust and generously flavoured. First made in 1959, Bin 28 was originally named after the famous Barossa Valley Kalimna vineyard purchased by Penfolds in 1945 and from which the wine was originally sourced. Today, Bin 28 is a multi-region, multi-vineyard blend, with the Barossa Valley always well represented. As advertised! Full-bodied, rich and generous. Lovely mocha, chocolate, espresso flavours. The confectioner provides black jellybean, licorice, chocolate truffles and rum and raisin. Very generous fruits fill an ample, plush mid-palate. A trip to the German cake shop: black forest cake, strudel, crème anglaise. Toasted fennel seeds and fresh tarragon. The acidity is juicy and energetic. Bold, attentive, structural graphite-like tannins hold the package together. The oak is completely absorbed, allowing the fruit to shine. The finish is long and fine, with a taught shale, mineral-like impression that lingers forever.

Blue fruits instantly emerge, specifically elderberries, blueberries, and bilberries. Poached plums merge with the exotic spiciness of cassia bark, imparting rich flavours. A hint of meat adds depth and character to the profile. The mouthfeel is sculpted by chocolate powder tannins, which are luxurious and precise, lending a structure that is both assertive and velvety. Also present is the umami complexity of tomato consommé, enriched with piquant olive tapenade. The palate is further textured by a ferrous minerality.

The combination of extended maturation and Penfolds extensive experience in crafting fine Tawny wines, has resulted in a wine with concentration, vitality, exceptional balance of fruit, nutty oak age complexity and distinctive spirit. All of these elements culminate in a balanced, clean and lingering tight finish. Marrying the fruit-driven styles of Club and Club Reserve with the complexity and concentration of the more mature expressions, Father Grand Tawny provides an elegant continuation of the Penfolds 'House Style'.

With each vintage, varietal batches are selected for Grandfather. These batches are individually aged in seasoned old oak casks before being blended together at 14 years of age. This blend is then introduced into the 'Grandfather Solera'. This Solera consists of six stages that are designed to fully integrate all components offering consistency and freshness with a final minimum average blended age of 20 years. Deep amber/mahogany in colour with green-gold tinges, this is a blend of the finest old tawnies. The palate shows classical Penfolds fruitcake, liquorice and vanillin oak flavours with a sweet full and round mid-palate, and a finish that persists on and on.

The Cabernet Sauvignon grape varietal is widely planted across South Australia's premium wine regions, particularly in the Limestone Coast where grapes with tremendous structure and beautiful aromatics are found. Since its inception, Penfolds Koonunga Hill has always aimed to deliver quality, value and consistency. The original 1976 Koonunga Hill Claret is a legendary wine that is still drinking well today. Koonunga Hill Shiraz joined the range in 2002, a contemporary reflection of Penfolds multi-regional sourcing philosophy. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. The palate is plush with flavours balanced by fine, textural tannins.

Vibrant and expressive, the Pepperjack Central Otago Pinot Noir pours a brilliant scarlet with a subtle violet hue. Enticing aromas of juicy plum, dark cherry, and mocha are lifted by a hint of wild thyme, setting the stage for a richly layered palate. Bursting with dark cherry and luscious cassis, this Pinot is balanced by silky tannins and a supple mouthfeel.
